Review of the Economy 2012/13

The Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister has brought out a booklet titled “Review of the Economy 2012/13”. The review gives a broad picture of the trends in Indian economy in the last few years and also looks at the bottlenecks that has slowed down growth recently.

2. The chapter of 'External Sector' captures the structural shift in the direction of India's merchandise trade. There has been a decline in the share of trade with Europe and North America by 4.2% and 2% respectively and increase in share of Africa and Latin America by 2.2% each over the last six years. In the appendices, performance of exports (destination-wise) and imports (source-wise) is given.
