Express/Emergency Visa

An additional fee of € 43 is charged by the Embassy from all nationals for express/emergency visa. Further, the service provider is authorized to charge € 25 in addition to normal service fee of € 11.50 for handling express/emergency visa services. In all such cases, in general, the Embassy grants the visa on the same day of receipt of application at the Embassy and the passport is returned to the service provider on the same day with visa. However, where there is incomplete documentation/requirement for additional documentation or need for personal interview of the applicant, the Embassy reserves the right not to grant the visa on an express/emergency basis despite applying for such an express/emergency visa. The following time frame is usually followed in case of express/emergency visas unless otherwise stated:

Express/emergency visa application accepting time by service provider at their Hague office (51, Laan van Meerdervoort, 2517 AE The Hague)	-1000-1200 hrs on any working day
Submission of accepted/ processed express/ emergency visa application by service provider to the Embassy	-1200-1300 hrs on the same day
Return of passport with visa granted to the service provider at the Embassy premise, under normal circumstances	-1630-1800 hrs on the same day

Step 1
Chose the correct visa type based on your reason for travel; do not make any confirmed bookings.

Step 2
Complete your application duly filled in the downloaded application form.

Step 3
If the application has been completed you must download & print all form/s, read and complete Checklist.

Step 4
Check fees payable, payment options and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section

Step 5
Sign form/s at all indicated places.

Step 6
Ensure photos are strictly as per specifications.

Step 7
Check processing time to plan your travel accordingly.

Step 8
Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

Step 9
Submit your Application along with the passport and required documents at any of our India Visa Application Centre in The Hague or collection Centre’s at Amsterdam & Rotterdam by person to the respective.

Step 10
“Track your application” online.

Step 11
Your passport will be returned to you by the mode of delivery opted by you when submitted. Allow for 2-3 days transit time for courier return applications. Transit times differ by location and do not take into account any public holidays.

Important Notice for Travelers

Travellers may kindly note that use of any satellite phone without prior approval of Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, is not permitted. The use/operation of any telegraph services/devices including wireless in India is regulated by the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. As per the existing guidelines issued by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, Inmarsat Satphones excluding BGAN system can be used by the Government, Corporate Houses, Members of the Mountaineering Expedition and other such categories with prior permission from DoT. Thuraya Satphone service is not permitted in India. Anyone using any telegraphic devices including Satphone without authorization violates Section 4 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and he/she can be penalized under Section 20 and 21 of the said Act.

In case satellite phones are brought to India in baggage/hand baggage, those satellite phones without licence from DoT would be detained/confiscated by the Customs authorities as per the existing procedures till the time the holder of the satellite phone is able to produce a licence issued by DoT. In case of import of cargo, a declaration is to be given by the person importing the goods about details of goods.
